I am Scott McFarland and I train horses from start to finish. I specialize in training Reining horses, but I have trained horses that have gone on to run barrels, work cattle, and compete in many other disciplines.
It is said that some people like horses for what they can do, and some people just like horses. I like horses. It doesn’t matter if it’s American Pharoah winning the Triple Crown, a team of Amish draft horses plowing a field, or riding a Reiner doing a +1 1/2 spin, I just like horses. Making a connection with such a sensitive, powerful animal is a unique experience that I find impossible to explain to the uninitiated. It is that connection that gets me up in the morning, and keeps me thinking, sometimes late into the night. If you are looking for help with your Reiner, or need someone to start a colt, give me a call.
